Why solid
One board. No layers. All wood, all the way down.
Solid hardwood is a single piece of real wood from the face to the tongue. No plywood core, no printed photo, no thin veneer glued on top. That's why it looks, feels and sounds like nothing else, and why it's the floor your clients walk their guests across first.
The beauty is real, not printed.
Every board has its own grain, color and character, straight from the tree. No two rooms look the same, and no pattern ever repeats. Guests notice. They always do.
Warm in every sense.
Wood is a natural insulator, so it feels warmer underfoot than tile or stone, and its honey, amber and brown tones warm up any room. It also gives that solid, quiet sound with every step that tells people the floor is the real thing.
It gets better with age.
With 3/4" of real wood, a solid floor can be sanded and refinished again and again over the years. Scratches come out, colors can change, and the floor keeps its value. Layered floors only get so many second chances. Solid gets a lifetime of them.
Give your clients the floor they'll brag about, in Red Oak, White Oak, Southern Yellow Pine, Brazilian Cherry or Hard Maple. In stock, stamped by grade, ready by 7 AM.
Some floors cover a room. Solid hardwood finishes it.
Pick your grade
We carry the three most common NOFMA grades. Same wood, different personality.
Red Oak Select
A smooth, uniform look with light color variation and minimal character. Expect small knots or subtle mineral marks.
- Average length
- 36" (32" min.)
- Waste factor
- About 5%
Red Oak #1 Common
A balanced, natural look with more color variation, visible mineral streaks and character marks, while still reading as one cohesive floor.
- Average length
- 30" (28" min.)
- Waste factor
- 5–10%
Red Oak #2 Common
Bold and rustic: big color swings, large knots, mineral streaks and darker boards. Made for farmhouse, traditional and distressed looks.
- Average length
- 24"
- Waste factor
- About 10%
Every bundle is 3/4" thick, averages 20 sq ft and is stamped with its exact grade. If it isn't stamped, it isn't in our warehouse.
