Solid Red and White Oak treads from 36" to 96", square edge treads, RetroTreads for carpet-to-hardwood remodels, and oak and primed risers. The common sizes are on the shelf at all six First Atlanta Flooring stores, and we can order custom sizes when you need them.

Stair treads
Full 1" thick, 11-1/2" deep solid hardwood treads for new stairs and full rebuilds. Tan chips are the lengths we stock with a return already attached, for the open side of the stair.
Red Oak Treads Select grade
Warm red and pink undertones with a strong, lively grain. The go-to tread for stain-grade stairs in production homes, and the one we carry in the widest range of lengths.

White Oak Treads Select grade
Brown and tan tones with tighter, finer grain lines, so it reads smoother. Takes today's natural and gray-leaning stains well and matches white oak floors.

Square Edge Treads “Craftsman” · Red & White Oak
Our newest tread. The nosing is squared off instead of rounded, for the clean lines of modern and craftsman homes. Pairs with square posts and flat-top rails.

Brazilian Cherry & Maple Treads Select grade
For stairs that match an exotic or light floor: Brazilian Cherry for a rich, deep red, and Maple for a light, clean look.

RetroTreads for remodels
The fastest way to turn a carpeted stair into hardwood. RetroTreads are thinner caps that go right over the existing steps, so there's no tearing out the stair.
RetroTreads Red & White Oak
Made for remodels. Pull up the old carpet, cut off the existing nosing and cap each step with a 5/8" RetroTread. The stair looks like solid oak without tearing it out.

Stair risers
Match the treads with oak for a stain-grade stair, or go with white primed for a painted riser. Both are 7-1/2" tall.
Oak Risers Red & White Oak
Stain-grade risers in the same species as the treads, so the whole stair finishes as one piece.

White Primed Risers Paint grade
Primed and ready for the final coat. The classic look of white risers under stained oak treads. The 3/8" riser is thin enough to go over an existing riser on a remodel.
